KIPLING USED THE HINDU "SWASTIKA" SIGN (A SYMBOL OF GOOD LUCK) IN VARIOUS FORMS UNTIL A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT ONE WAS USED AS THE NAZI SYMBOL AFTER WHICH HE ABANDONED ITS USE.
