A 1915 star awarded and correctly named to Pte W J Profitt who served with Hartigans Horse during WW1 in the German South West African Campaign.
Hartigans Horse were a police unit of mounted riflemen who were mobilised at East London in 1915 and gained the battle honour for the south west african campaign whilst fighting for General Botha against the German forces. Comes with medal roll showing service and the fact that only the 1915 star was claimed. The other entitlement to the Victory medal and BWM are shown to be neither claimed nor dispatched
