Manufacturedby Bauscher Weiden, Bavaria, Germany between 1920 and 1948 (Bauscher.DE), thisitem is a white glazed fine porcelain hot water pot with lid. The item isdesigned in an art deco shape with oval lid finial, scroll handle and shortspout.
BrothersConrad and August Bauscher founded the firm in 1881 as specialists of hotelporcelain. Between 1887 and 1890 German ships began to use Bauscher porcelainwares and in 1895 a subsidiary of the firm opened in New York with othersopening in 1900 in London and Lucerne. Peter Behrens, Jugendstil artist wasalso employed by the firm at the same time. By 1923 Bauscher was supplying theWaldorf Astoria Hotel. In 1929 Bauscher became part of the Hutschenreutergroup.
