An EXCELLENT example of a 1920s South African Railways & Harbours Brigade - Commissioned Officer's Cap Badge w/ Divisional Felt Flash. This piece appears to be in a VF/ VF+ state of preservation , with detailed Graphic Design Relief on Brass Badge obverse and reverse. All insignia/ symbology present. Appropriate Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surfaces. Item remains in a used , yet well-preserved state. Metallic Insignia retains a good lustre , with a degree of surface toning / variable discoloration due to composition. Badge displays good structural integrity with the Voided Panel & Retention lugs, remaining all well integrated. Pressed Wool Felt material Divisional Flash displays good pigmentation, with all stitching & hem-lines appearing intact. All Decorative elements are clear and defined with the distinctive SA Railways & Harbours Brigade Unit Crest. Nomenclature is present and remains legible.
