This 1924-S Peace Silver Dollar is a striking piece of American numismatic history, minted in San Francisco and composed of 90% silver with a weight of 26.09 grams. The Peace Dollar series was introduced to commemorate the end of World War I and symbolises peace, hope, and prosperity, making it one of the most sought-after silver dollar designs ever produced.
The "S" mint mark, indicating production at the San Francisco Mint, is located on the reverse below the eagle (not fully visible in the photographs). Designed by renowned sculptor Anthony de Francisci, the coin features the iconic portrait of Lady Liberty on the obverse and a majestic eagle at rest on the reverse.
With its nearly century-old history, intrinsic silver content, and enduring collector appeal, this coin makes an excellent addition to any collection of world coins, silver coins, or American numismatic treasures.
Condition: Pre-loved vintage condition as shown in the photographs. Please examine all photos carefully, as they form part of the description.
