This is an original 1925 French 2 Francs bronze token, issued by the Chambers of Commerce of France during the economic recovery period after World War I. These tokens circulated nationally to stimulate trade when regular coinage was in short supply.
The obverse features the classic seated figure of Commerce, symbolising prosperity and industry, while the reverse carries the familiar inscription BON POUR 2 FRANCS.
This series is widely collected due to its attractive artwork, historical relevance, and affordable entry price. The 1925 issue remains one of the more desirable dates in the series.
Ideal for collectors of world coins, emergency money, and 20th-century European trade tokens.
