WEEKEND SALE* 1927 Birmingham Hallmarked Sterling Silver Cigarette Case (Levi)

A refined example of interwar British silver, hallmarked Birmingham 1927. This 79.4g Sterling Silver case was produced by Samuel M. Levi (S.M.L), a specialist maker active in the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter.

Boutique Hallmark:

In addition to the official Assay Office marks, this piece features a stamped Boutique "T" mark. This signifies the piece was retailed through a specific high-end luxury house at the time of manufacture, ensuring a superior level of finish and hand-detailing.

Artisanship & Technical Details:

• Elite Hand-Chasing: The exterior features deep, intricate hand-chased ornamentation. The "GG" monogram is expertly integrated into the central cartouche.
• Interior and Closure: The interior is near immaculate. The hinge is robust, and the clasp remains crisp and secure.
• Internal Retention: The original retaining elastic is missing. Based on the pristine condition of the internal linings, it appears the elastic was likely never installed, consistent with high-grade pieces intended for use as luxury card cases.
