1930'S VINTAGE SHEAFFER'S PEN WITH 14K GOLD LIFETIME NIB

The piston system, first seen in regular production in Sheaffer's pens of the 1930's, is strong and robust. The stainless rod is much more heavy duty than anything Sheaffer's made. 

The back unscrews and is connected to a thin metal plunger rod. Pull it all the way up and push it down. As the plunger goes down, it creates a vacuum behind it. When it reaches the wider end of the barrel, the vacuum is released and ink fills in behind the plunger. I have dipped the nib into ink and it writes fine and perfectly. I do not know much about this pen as it belonged to my deceased father. The plunger seems to work fine, however, I cannot guarantee the pen due to my lack of knowledge regarding this type of pen. The cap is silver coloured.

The nib is ENGRAVED with the Sheaffer's logo, A LIFETIME logo and it is marked 14k and thereare small numbers on it that I cannot read.

On the side of the pen it is engraved:
