This is a replica of the 1931 Tickey. The 1931 is regarded as one of the rarest South African coins. It was minted in low numbers and as a result many coin collectors have a big hole between their 1930 and 1932 3 pence.
This modern replica is especially made for that reason. It is heavier than the original and is slightly thicker. This coin has also been artificially aged.
