This is a 1932 registered airmail cover from Windhoek, South West Africa, carried on the Windhoek-Kimberley flight service on a South African 1d King George V red postal stationery envelope, Unie van Zuid Afrika / Union of South Africa, (overprinted S.W.A.) bilingual issue.

The cover is addressed to Mrs Meyer, Poste Restante, East London, with return instructions on the reverse to Box 1124, Cape Town. The franking includes a pair of 3d blue Windhoek Post Office stamps (SACC 106), a pair of ½d green Springbok stamps with S.W.A. overprint (SACC 93), and the stationery imprint itself (1d King George V red).

Postal markings trace the full journey: Windhoek AIR MAIL dated 26 Jan 1932, Kimberley transit dated 27 Jan 1932, East London REGISTERED dated 30 Jan 1932, and Cape Town RETURNED TO SENDER dated 8 Feb 1932. This cover is a superb example of domestic registered airmail postal history, showing flight usage, mixed franking with both overprinted and bilingual issues, and complete accountability through registry and return-to-sender handling. The combination of SACC 93 and SACC 106 on South African (optd for use in SWA) King George V stationery used in South west Africa makes this a highly desirable piece for collectors of SWA, Union postal stationery, and early aviation routes.
