APPLE BLOSSOM DISH

BEAUTIFUL, BUT SMALL CHIP ON EDGE

 Dimensions (approximately): 27 cm x 18 cm x 6.5 cm

Carlton Ware was a product of Wiltshaw & Robinson, Carlton Works, Stoke, Staffordshire Potteries, England, which operated from 1890 - 1957, after which Ltd was added to the name. Marked on the base "Carlton Ware - Made in England - Trade Mark Registered - Australian Design Registration Applied For" (a backstamped used from 1935 – 1951), decorators insignia and impressed "1665 7".

This lovely dish, circa 1935 - 1951, are in the shape of overlapping leaves in buttery yellow with veining. Further enhanced by raised green leaves, pink apple blossom and brown stem.

 Backstamp on the underside of the item clearly indicates period of 1935 - 1951
