The 1936 Southern Rhodesia 6 Pence coin is a notable piece from the final year of King George V's reign, minted during the British colonial era in Africa. Design Details: Obverse: Features a crowned left-facing portrait of King George V, adorned in an ermine coronation robe, the star of the Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order, and the collar of the Order of the Garter with shoulder ribbons. The inscription reads "GEORGE V KING EMPEROR." Reverse: Depicts two crossed Shona wirework axes, a symbol of local heritage, dividing the date "1936" and the denomination "6 PENCE." The inscription around the edge reads "SOUTHERN RHODESIA. "This coin holds historical significance as it represents the end of an era, being the last 6 Pence issued under King George V before his death in January 1936.
