  • Series: The British Rugby Tour Springbok Cigarettes - The 1938 tour was historic the last before WWII

  • Year: 1938 (the British & Irish Lions tour to South Africa, pre-WWII)

  • Format: Small player portrait cards (black & white photos with colored backgrounds) with biographical details on the reverse.

  • Packaging: The green wallet packet (shown in your photos) originally contained sets of these cards. These were distributed with cigarette packs as collectables.

  • Players: Includes both British Isles players and South African Springboks from that famous tour.

    There are 32 lions cards and 30 springbok cards, one of each is in poor condition (see pics) the balance are in good condition.

    The wallet is in poor condition.
