1940s Reliable Series small tin globe made in England. Excellent condition

Made of tin and is hollow and spins around its axel. The globe can be dated by: Ceylon was the former name of the country now officially known as Sri Lanka which gained its independence from the United Kingdom in 1948. Pakistan was part of the British Indian Empire and remained so until independence in 1947. Northern Rhodesia, now modern-day Zambia was a British protectorate established in 1911. Northern Rhodesia joined Southern Rhodesia and Nyasaland to form the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland in 1953. It gained independence as Zambia in 1964. The Belgian Congo was a Belgian colony in Central Africa from 1908 until independence in 1960 and became the Republic of Congo.
