1940s Vintage Twisted Gold Tone Faux Pearls Bracelet by Pegasus CORO

The elegant twisted bracelet by CORO is made of gold tone metal and features a stylish design with many simulated pearls. It is signed PEGASUS CORO DES. PAT. PEND. and this hallmark was used from 1945 to the early 1950s.

Emanuel Cohn and Carl Rosenberger formed a partnership in approx. 1901 and this was incorporated in 1913. By this time they had already had a factory in Providence, Rhode Island, the centre of the jewellery trade, for two years. Coro employed many talented designers over the years and held a lot of utility (mechanical) patents for mechanisms invented by their employees as well as the design patents for the look of the pieces. Perhaps the most famous of their pieces are their Duettes. Coro production ceased in 1979, except for Coro Canada, which was still operational in 1990.

Condition: good to very vintage condition as pictured, with all pearls being present
