  • Issue:  King George VI Pictorial Definitive (Wartime Color Change).

  • Value:   10c  (10 Cents).

  • Color:   Black (Centre)  and  Orange-Brown (Frame) .

    • Why the change?  The original 1938 stamp was Green. In  1942 , during World War II, the color was changed to Orange-Brown. This was partly to comply with international postal color standards and partly due to ink availability during the war.
