Old Bible as issued in 1943 by the wife of Gen. Smuts to solders who went to WW2. In the front of the Bible there is a message from Isie K Smuts in Afrikaans and English. On the second page there is an inscription as shown in one of the images of a father giving this Bible to his daughter, dated 3rd Jan 1944. This Bible is in fair condition, both the front and back cover pages are still in place and intact. Unfortunately there are some damage in the book of Acts - pages 191 - 200 is missing and pages 217 - 222 are teared. There are also scribbling on first and last pages. The size of the Bible is 8 x 12.4 cm. This Bible is from a bloody, horrible time in the history of mankind that should never be again!
