Obverse (The Shield/Globe):

The central design (the "bundle of arrows" and the shield) shows visible wear on the high points, but the details remain distinct. The lettering around the rim is clear and lacks significant bruising or "dings."

Reverse (The Number 1):

The "1" is sharp, though the field (the flat background) shows some darkening and minor surface marks consistent with circulation.

Overall Appeal:

The coin has a dark, chocolate-brown patina typical of 80-year-old bronze. There is no evidence of heavy corrosion or "verdigris" (green oxidation), which is good for its long-term value.
