This is an original Polish Navy (Polska Marynarka Wojenna) military mail cover, postmarked during the final months of World War II, dated 3 February 1945.

Features:

  • Stamp: Poland 2 złoty + 2 złoty Warsaw Uprising commemorative (Scott #362, issued 1944).

  • Postmark: Special Polish Navy (Polska Marynarka Wojenna) handstamp with warship illustration, dated 3.II.1945.

  • Addressed to: Captain Tadeusz Kluger, London, S.W.1., England.

  • Condition: Clean, very fine with sharp strike of military postmark.

Historical Significance:
This cover is tied to the Polish Armed Forces in exile, who continued to fight alongside the Allies even after the Warsaw Uprising of 1944. Military postal items with naval-themed cancels are scarce and highly sought-after, especially those addressed to officers.
