'GEORGIVS VI D:G:BR:OMN:REX'
The reverse shows George VI's royal cypher (monogram, or initials), with the date divided to either side, and the royal crown above. The legend 'FID-DEF-IND-IMP' runs around the top, with the word 'SIXPENCE'
