1950's Stevens Savage Arms Corporation Model 84D .22 Rifle with Leather Shoulder Strap. Deactivated.
In good, overall condition with original leather shoulder strap nicely worn. The trigger does fire. Comes with it's deactivation certificate.
The Stevens Model 84D is a classic, vintage bolt-action rimfire rifle produced by the Stevens Arms division of the Savage Arms Corporation. Marketed primarily under the Stevens or Springfield brand names, it was designed as a reliable utility rifle for small-game hunting, pest control, and target practice. The barrel is stamped with Chicopee Falls, Mass., meaning the rifle was manufactured prior to 1960. After 1960, Savage closed the historic Chicopee Falls plant and moved all Stevens-branded production to Westfield, Massachusetts.
Stevens Arms is a historic American firearms manufacturer founded in 1864 by Joshua Stevens in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts. Acquired by the Savage Arms Company in 1920, the brand is celebrated for producing highly dependable rifles and shotguns.
