I am pleased to offer this 1956 Ariel Leader Motorcycle.
This bike is a 250cc 2 Stroke.
This motorcycle was previously the property of the chairman of the local Veteran Car’s Club, who lovingly restored the item and used it.
We acquired ownership after he passed away.
When we received it, it was in perfect running order. For the last 5 years we have only ever had it on display and in storage, and we have never tried to start it.
We have a folder of original documentation and manuals for this bike, which will come with the bike.
It appears to be complete, with windscreen.
We are not experts on motorcycles, so we describe it as seen.
Cosmetically, it is in used, but Very Good Condition, and is highly presentable (See photos).
The compression is still fine, so a small service by someone in the know will have this beauty in running condition with little effort.
It is being sold As-Is.
We are asking R15 000 for this great example, but we will accept a reasonable offer, which you can submit through BOB.
If we accept the offer we will adjust the asking price, notify the interested party, who can then submit the offer, whereupon we will close the auction.
We will gladly answer any questions you may have.
We are based in Durban.
Any interested buyers are welcome to come and do a visual inspection on site, by appointment.
Removal and transportation will be the responsibility of the buyer (or their representative).
Removal will only be allowed after full payment is received.
We feel that this vintage beauty deserves to be moved on to somebody who will appreciate it, and give it the second chance that it deserves.
I will leave it up to the true experts and collectors to decide the real value.
