This 1957 Six Pence coin is a beautiful piece of Southern African colonial history, minted during the short-lived Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland (19531963), which united modern-day Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Malawi.

The reverse design features the iconic Leopard facing left standing on rock, legend above, date and denomination below The obverse bears the youthful profile of Queen Elizabeth II, reflecting the British influence of the era.
