Up for auction is a 1960 South Africa 1 Shilling (1s) coin featuring Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse and Britannia with trident and shield on the reverse. This is one of the classic pre-decimal South African silver coins, struck before the switch to the Rand in 1961. The coin has attractive detail with light natural wear, making it a solid collectors piece.
