1965 Afrikaans and English graded one cent coins.

There were 1,031 1965 Afrikaans one cent pieces minted in 1965. Rare coins as these coins were minted exclusively for the families of the then State President and handed out at a dinner at the mint. There were only 24,988 proof coins and 1,180 circulation coins minted in 1965 but they were all minted in English.

Up for sale are two coins, sold as one lot

1965 Afrikaans coin graded MS61BN by NGC Only 1,031 minted,

1965 English coin graded MS64BN by PCGS Only 1,180 minted in UNC.

Note: Just a few coins English circulation coins more than the Afrikaans coins that enjoy such rarity. As a matter of interest, 24,988 proof coins minted that year and they were put into sets for sale to the public.
