1969 VW BEETLE 1500 WITH ORIGINAL ENGINE - RUNNER BUT UNLICENSED
The engine has a bearing knock and car has no battery.
BEING SOLD AS PARTS OR PROJECT FOR BEETLE ENTHUSIAST!
The car is largely original and is VW off-white in colour. The bumpers were replaced some years ago but are genuine VW (Brazilian) items.
PLEASE NOTE:-
Although I have the registration papers for the car, it is unlicenced for the past 7 years. Re-registration would therefore be costly. As a result, it is being sold voetstoets for parts only.
The car starts immediately and runs well, but there is what appears to be a bearing knock.
I recently removed the battery to use in my other car. You would have to tow the vehicle or bring your own battery.
There is some rust! The usual paint bubbling on the bottom of the doors due to internal rust. This is most evident on the passenger door as shown in one of the photos below. There is also some surface rust on the chromed bumpers and spotlights. The usual (for the Beetle) drivers-side rear passenger foot-well had rusted through and has been repaired.
My company logo (Sentinel) on both sides of the car are painted on!
The seats are all original but the drivers seat covering is split and has a seat-cover .

The tyres are Japanese radials and good for many more kilometers. It has had a new generator, fuel pump, clutch and pressure-plate installed not too long ago. It has a working radio/tape-deck and after-market (internally mounted) high-level stop-light.
