1971-D United States Eisenhower One Dollar – KM#203

A desirable 1971-D United States Eisenhower One Dollar, catalogued as KM#203, struck at the Denver Mint. Composed of copper-nickel clad bonded to a pure copper core, the obverse features the left-facing portrait of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, while the reverse depicts the iconic Apollo 11 mission insignia of a bald eagle descending onto the lunar surface carrying an olive branch, with the Earth visible above. Designed by Frank Gasparro, the Eisenhower Dollar was the last large-size dollar coin produced for circulation in the United States, with the series issued from 1971 to 1978. Approximately XF condition with only the slightest friction visible on the highest points.
