A Rare Silver Medal to Commemorate the Opening of Paul Kruger's Farmhouse, "Boekenhoutfontein", as a Museum in 1973. Sponsored by the Simon van der Stel Foundation. Medal designed by Arthur L. Sutherland and J. Buisett, and struck at the South African Mint.
Sterling Silver. Stamped on edge with Lion's Head, STG, z [for 1973] and S.A.M. Also stamped with the issue number. "111". Diameter 63.7 mm. Mass 91.4 gm. Come inside the original blue case from the SA Mint.
