A 1974 Algerian 5 Dinars, catalogued as KM#108 and struck in nickel during the period of the Peoples Democratic Republic of Algeria.
The denomination side features a prominent numeral 5 surrounded by Arabic inscriptions and decorative floral elements. The reverse depicts a traditional Algerian horseman carrying a rifle, an evocative design reflecting Algerias cultural and historical heritage, with Arabic inscription above and the date 1974 below.
This substantial 5 Dinars issue is an attractive example of 1970s North African coinage and makes an interesting addition to collections of Algerian coins, African numismatics, world coins or historically themed currency.

A circulated example retaining good overall detail. The horseman, rifle, inscriptions and denomination remain well defined, with moderate surface wear, scattered circulation marks and scratches visible across both sides. Overall Very Fine (VF) condition.
