1976 Canada,Calgary Stampede dollar/token as per images with boot privy.Every year, Calgary hosts the Calgary Stampede, a ten-day rodeo, carnival, and exhibition attracting over a million visitors annually. It is Canada's largest annual festival and has since become a cultural icon of the Canadian Prairies. Starting in 1963, trade dollar tokens were struck for use during the festival as a souvenir and novelty, good for one dollar anywhere in Calgary before a certain expiry date. Because most were kept as souvenirs rather than redeemed, this generated a large profit for both the issuing mint and the Stampede authorities.

Starting in 1976, Stampede Dollars displayed one of four privy marks on the reverse: the boot, the hat, the horseshoe, and the saddle. At least one 1976 token is known to exist without a privy mark - these tokens are most likely pattern pieces.
