XF+ note. Some light folds. Generally clean with a pink mark in the watermark zoning, possibly lipstick over the watermark eagle's head. Some small ripple marks at the bottom margin- common with notes  carrying the security line through them which were drawn whilst still wet- also common in current South African notes where the security thread sometime even crumples a little.

About these Zimbabwean notes- pre-1970 we had the queen's head on the shillings and pound notes, then UDI notes followed with the same basic design but without the Queen's head at the right- replaced by the coat of arms of the UDI Rhodesia.

1980 was the final phase from Rhodesia to Zimbabwe. And this was the first date of minting- Salisbury 1980. Later this would change to Harare.

The style of the note started to reflect changes in design whilst maintaining some of the old aesthetics.

If you collect these notes, you will pick up the subtle changes over the years, going back to the original classic green Rhodesia and Nyasaland pound with the leopard on the cover page. These very early notes were incredibly bright in their uses of colour, vibrant greens/oranges/purples, the bright red pound followed by the muted pink with the queen's head in a grey shadow. This was the last minting of the pound in this part of the world.

The 10 shilling notes started by being an intense blue followed by a more muted blue also with the grey shadow of the queen's head.

The blue followed into the $1 note and then the Early Zimbabwe $2 which disappeared as inflation corroded the value of the currency.

A piece of Zimbabwe history is reflected in this note- catalogued value around  US $45.00 when I last looked.
