An EXCELLENT example of Border War, 1980s SADF Corps of Signals Metallic Plaque Mount Escutcheon. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Relief on  obverse. All insignia present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Lustrous finish is intact. Legend remains legible. All Mount ports / Pin holes are evident. 

This piece would have been Mounted on a Wooden Plaque - in order to promote Unit cohesion and overall morale within the formation.
