This stunning 1985 South African Proof Coin Set includes 8 coins, featuring the special Parliament Commemorative Silver 1 Rand, struck to mark the 75th Anniversary of the Union Buildings and the opening of the new parliamentary complex in Cape Town.

Each coin is precision-struck to proof standard, housed in the original South African Mint (SAM) presentation case with satin interior and blue velvet insert.

Set Composition:

  • 1 Rand 1985 Parliament Commemorative Silver Coin (Sterling silver, 15 grams, 0.800 fineness)

  • 50c, 20c, 10c, 5c, 2c, 1c,  Nickel and bronze proof coins

  • Original case with embossed SAM and coat of arms logo
