1990 Silver R1 PROOF (SA Coat of Arms)

With the well-known Springbok on the obverse and the old South African coat of arms on the reverse, this beautiful large silver proof R1 is dated 1990 and comes with the official SA Mint blue box.

Please note that since the first Proof R1 was minted in 1965, only 3 Proof R1 coins up to the issue of this coin (1990) have fewer mintage figures, making this the Proof R1 coin with the fourth lowest mintage figure in 25 years!  

As a bonus this coin was officially encapsulated by the SA Mint to ensure its absolute pristine proof condition.
