You are bidding on a Silver R2 Protea Series coin from the year 1997. It depicts the Knysna Seahorse on the reverse.

It has been graded by NGC and is a proof coin with the grade of PF67 (Ultra Cameo), and it contains 1 full ounce of pure silver.

Only 9(!) of these coins have been graded by NGC, none have graded a perfect PF70 and there is only 1 coin that has been graded PF67.

You may see the same coin in the original SA Mint box offered every now and then on Bid or Buy,

but with only 9 coins ever graded, the NGC units are not often found for sale.
