This black lacquered miniature chest measures 33 cm tall, 24 cm wide and 13 cm deep. It has four drawers down the right-hand side with a door to the left, concealing a further three drawers. On the door there are four small metal medals/plates. I have photographed these, so please zoom in on them. This is a beautifully decorated item. I would date it as early Victorian, C.1840, when Chinoiserie was highly fashionable. Please add R65 for postage.
