I have taken this artwork to a gallery to have it professionally opened to check for a signature on the actual canvas - No signature however being in the original frame and aging to the canvas (including the craquelure to the top part of the painting) it's been dated between 1870 to approx 1890 - Market price this size / condition etc can range from ZAR10.000 to ZAR15000 

V&A London has only 6 pieces from George Rowney & Co considerably smaller than this artwork and considerably valuable.

There is craquelure around the painting which is a normal age related condition for oil paintings this old. Minor spots of wear to the paint which can be easily touched up if need be
