This is a nice clear diamond set in platinum the shank has no marks but I did an acid test and it is definatly platinum. I also measured the diamond aganst a chart I have and it measured up to 1 carrat. The diamond is bright and white and I cannot see any inclusions even under magnification. It needs a good clean and polish. I took it to a local antique shop and they said they would sell it for R30,000. This is not a simulated diamond or a platinum plated ring it is the real thing. it is over 50 years old.
