Is it really waterproof?
Yes, you can swim or exercise in water and the player will remain completely waterproof.
What is the waterproofing standard?
The player is rated IPX7 which means it is waterproof to 1 meter for 30 minutes.
What does waterproof for 30 minutes at 1 meter mean?
The waterproof player has been tested to an IPX7 standard. Which means the item was
completely immersed to the depth of one meter (3 feet) for the full duration time of
thirty minutes. To pass the standards no water will penetrate the item at that depth
to prevent the device from working.
Does that mean after 30 minutes I have to take the player out of the water?
No. If you're planning to use the waterproof Player while swimming, most users
stay near the surface of the water for the duration of their swim. Going down to 3 feet
for a few minutes will not affect the player. In fact on the surface (or near the surface)
the player will remain waterproof for the length of your swim.
If you do plan to use the player at a depth of 3 feet, returning to the surface for
a minute releases the pressure on the player and you could return for another 30 minutes.
Does it come with waterproof headphones?
Yes, the headphones that are included are fully waterproof.
Can I use the player with my own headphones?
Yes, HOWEVER, you will not be able to use it in the water or rain with your own headphones.
If you plan to use it in wet conditions we recommend always using it with the
waterproof headphones.
