Up for auction we have 1st Issue G. Rissik R2 note.
Rissik was the 4th Governor of the South African Reserve Bank from 1July 1962-30 June1967. The note is Blue, and has the profile of Jan van Riebeeck on its front. The rear of the note shows a Lion Standing upon the motto “EX UNITATE VIRES”. The note has Jan van Riebeeck as its watermark. This 1st Issue saw no changes from the 4th issue De Kock note accept for the signature.
The note is in fair condition as can be seen on the pictures.
The Serial Number on the note is B212 042083.
