1st patt SA Hunter group (& 5 SAI Bn) camo l/s shirt in great used condition - all buttons present

Here on auction we have a 1st patt SA Hunter group (& 5 SAI Bn) camo l/s shirt in great used condition/ VERY good colours and very little fading - all buttons present.

PLEASE NOTE that the last two pics show the same camo worn by 5 SAI BN troops on a photo shoot for their unit (music) LP record - hat and LP record shown are NOT included in this auction.

Please note some small (easy to remove) white paint specks on the one sleeve. Label removed on the shirt. Fits as a size Medium - ink stamp in collar still visible.

This camo is widely known in collecting circles as the "1st patt Hunter group camo" BUT is actually in fact a commercial "fishing and hunting" camo sold commercially in SA circa 1960's and early 1970's in outdoor and hunting/ fishing shops eg. the then ME stores and old Cape Union Mart (before it became the store we know today!). It is little known BUT 5 SAI Bn in Ladysmith also used this camo as a "Ops deployment camo" for patrols and operational deployments along the Natal/ Mozambique border (see pics attached).
