These stamps were printed in highly fugitive ink also known as doubly fugitive and were first issued in 1913 (except the 1 pound, which was first issued in 1917)


Series 4 (1943-1946) Bantam War Issues

By 1943 the paper shortage experienced during WWII was acute and the so called "Bantams" were printed.
