2 Antique Flow Blue Johnson Brothers Jewel pattern dinner plates. These 2 Flow Blue dinner plates date to c1900. The process began by accident in the 1820s, featuring blurred or "flowed" blue glaze which happened during the firing process. These 2 plates have the flow blue pattern around the lip of the plate, and the gilt edging. They are backstamped "Jewel" with the crown and Johnson Bros England. They measure 25cm in diameter. The plates do have age wear as can be expected - 1 plate has a nibble under the rim and a crack in the centre. They however are full of character. Great buy - 1 bid for both plates.
