Up for auction are two medal groups. They are no relation to each other. The first is a six medal group with a Loyal Services badge and a 8th Army bar all with original ribbons and packets sent to Mr H.L. Giles, East London. Unfortunately there are no medal allocation card included. The second group is an Efficiency Medal group that was issued to WO 2nd Class G.A.B. Davis Q.S.C. The WW1 War Medal and Victory Medal are impressed Pte G H Davies 1 SAI. Records indicate that he was a qualified Lewis Gunner by the end of the 1st World War. The 1939-1945 Star, The Africa Star, The Italy Star, the War Medal and the Africa Service medal are all impressed 61095 G.A.B. Davis. The Efficiency medal is impressed WO 11 G.A.B. Davies QSC (V). On the Attestation papers he confirmed that he did serve in the S.A.M.R - S.A.I. between 1915 and 1919 and in the S.A.F.A. as a PF between 1919-1923. The WW1 research confirms his name as George Herbert Davis and the WW2 research confirms it as George Albert Bant Davis. Sold with 11 copies of research papers.
