A pair of two Indian hand turned bowls of solid wood with inlay brass decoration. SPECIAL OFFER. Made with unfussy elegant design and sturdy construction, allowing the quality of the aged wood and the workmanship to speak for themselves. Durable and resistant to dust, light, moisture, and impact. Designed in a circular form with a small elevated foot on bottom. The bowls have rich, warm tawny tones with bronze-golden undertones and dark streaks. Overall the colour of wood varies from a golden chocolate to a very dark brown on each bowl. Darker, nearly black tones in some areas, add contrast and visual interest, making full use of the play of light and shades giving the design more depth. The metal inlays have a typical warm, low luster colour of antique brass with light golden tones, forming the pattern of geometrical foliate arabesques and sprouting vines. Not lacquered, the surface of the wood is in its natural state. All gloss you see in the photos is from Wood Oil treatment. Unmarked. Circa 1940.

Measuring: 15 cm in diameter, 7 cm tall each.

Condition: Excellent. Both bowls are in an impressive state for age free of damages, the old wood is smooth and there are no splinters. One bowl has developed a natural wood crack at the discreet bottom edge of a foot, consistent with age and as illustrated in pictures. All white spots, lines, dots that you see in the photos are caused by light reflecting off an oil-treated surface and the grains of the wood. In good clean order, ready to be used again.

Returns. I gladly accept returns in the unlikely event that you are not thrilled with your item. You get a full refund of the purchase price up until the end of day 7 of receiving your order. Simply return the item to me in its original condition, shown in photos. The cost of returning the item using a door-to-door courier service is buyer's responsibility. Delivery or postal charges are non-refundable.

Delivery. I will dispatch your item on the next day after a cleared payment has been credited to my account by Bobshop. Please allow 2 business days for the funds to roll over. The tracking number will be messaged to you on the day of dispatch.

Force Majeure. Although not a common case, over the lockdown period irregularities in delivery services can occasionally happen. In these circumstances I will appoint an alternative service provider to ensure that your parcel arrives safely on time. Any delays or irregularities in delivery that may occur would be relayed to you so that you are kept fully informed of the progress of your parcel.

• Where the item is antique or vintage, the item cannot be expected to be in a new condition. Mint Condition implies that the item is brand new and has never been used, which is rarely the case with historical items. Normal wear and tear, imperfections and crazing as consistent with age should be expected and are a marker of a genuine antique/vintage item. These imperfections do not affect the value of quality items and, in fact, in many cases add to the to its historical character for seasoned collectors. Near Mint Condition or Excellent Condition or rare antiques are typically offered for a higher price. The size of a piece bears no relation to its value.

• The purchase is to be completed within 7 days. I reserve the right to cancel orders from buyers who have not completed their transaction during that period and relist the item for sale.
