2 Vintage SAR compartment window with etched springbok head & 2 framed train prints. I would date the old SAR compartment windows to the 1960/70s. They were manufactured from meranti, and are painted grey on the outside and natural varnish on the inside. They have the Springbok head etched on the thick glass, and have brass fittings and a indented handles at the top to close and open the window. They measure 60cm x 41cm, and are in good condition. Would make a lovely display doors for your rail collection area or your bar. The first print is of "Dampflokomotive Adler". It is beautifully framed and measures 40cm x 27cm. The second print is of "Engine 526 Z - first engine built at Newport Workshops 30-6-1893". It is framed behind glass and measures 34cm x 26cm. Both are in good condition - second print has a bit of water staining. Great buy for the collector.
