Hardcover,faded green boards, gilt lettering to spine with 1279 pages. This copy published in 1961 (tenth Impression). Front board has a small stain. The binding is visible between the front board and first end page. and last two pages. No loose pages. Spine is still square and clean inside - a good reading copy. Included is a hardcover with dust jacket, published in 1951 by Hodder and Stoughton with 256 pages. The book has foxing to the end pages. Clean inside and binding is tight.
