Hardcover,faded green boards, gilt lettering to spine with 1279 pages. This copy published in 1961 (tenth Impression). Front board has a small stain. The binding is visible between the front board and first end page. and last two pages. No loose pages.  Spine is still square and clean inside - a good reading copy. The first novel in the series of historical fiction was published in 1905. The Scarlet Pimpernel was an Englishman who rescued French aristocrats from the guillotine during the reign of terror following the French Revolution. Included is a hardcover with dust jacket, published in 1951 by Hodder and Stoughton with 256 pages. The book has foxing to the end pages. Clean inside and binding is tight. The d/j is in good to fair condition with small paper loss at front top. and minor tears at bottom of front cover. Another adventure of the Scarlet Pimpernel. No shipping overseas.
