Amazing quality not often seen
I have another 2 brass lamps on crazy auction:

The Lamps look to be solid brass virtually from head to toe, except the base which has a brass skirt with a cast iron weight in the centre.
I checked the brass with a file/sandpaper in unobtrusive places.
All the fittings look intact, each has a light switch but no plug fitted.
They are sold as untested/as is but look like they won't need much more than a polishand a minor TLC to get them working 100% again.
The local lighting shop quoted similar replacements at R400-R500 a lamp.
The lamps stand 44cm tall
