Offered on this auction are these two Shorter & Son Fish Plates.
These plates are fashioned to resemble a fish, with a cream ground, brown fins, and yellow and black eyes.
They have the Shorter & Sons, Great Britain back stamp dating to 1933 on their base.
The plates are 23 cm long and 22 cm wide. They stand 2 cm high.
These plates are in Very Good Condition.
There are no cracks or restoration (see photos).
One plate has a very tiny chip and the other a larger shallow chip on the underside near the “fish’s mouth”.
Colours are full bodied.
There is slight crazing.
